Getting Started!
After deciding my topic, I started
brainstorming the type of jobs that I wanted to explore. Besides taking my
interests into account, I also asked my family and friends for advice and
suggestions as to what interesting jobs I should apply for.
This is the list of jobs I decided to take up
eventually:
Week 1: Salad shop Assistant
Week 2: Hair salon Assistant
Week 3: Baking Assistant
Week 4: Clown
Week 5: Florist Assistant
Week 6: Kindergarten teacher
Week 7: Tour guide Assistant
Week 8: Mortuary makeup artist
Now you must be thinking "How did you find the jobs?", "Who will want to hire you for a day?" and "You really work for free?".
As according to the job listed, I started searching for potential companies through jobstreet.com.sg etc...
How?
I sent my resume to relevant
companies through an email and explained my project and agenda to them.
One of the many emails I have sent. (Requesting to work as a Clown)
I also called up the companies to
request for meet-ups so that I could elaborate on my project to them
face-to-face. Upon agreement, I went to the different locations to talk to the
employers and request for my work attachments.
There were also a few companies that I simply walked in
directly to seek employment.
